ABOUT IGNITE
Based on Queensland's Gold Coast, Ignite Design Creative is the freelance graphic design studio of Ian Gay.
Ignite are able to offer comprehensive graphic design services across a wide variety of platforms including creative branding, graphic design, identity design, packaging design, publishing and website design. Ignite provide services for clients across south-east Queensland as well as throughout Australia and overseas.
WHO IS IAN?
Creative Director Ian Gay was born and raised in the south-west of England and grew up with the sounds of printing presses and the smell of ink. His father, grand-father and great-grandfather were all printers (discover the story of "A Family Of Printers") and it was little surprise that he followed a similar career path.
With over 25 years experience in the print and design industry Ian's skills have been honed from working in advertising agencies, publishing houses and brand studios in both Australia and the UK.
With a solid grounding in artwork and print design in leading regional UK studios and after completing a degree in Packaging Design, Ian moved to Australia in 2002 and took up the role of Art Director for a leading publishing house where he was responsible for creating new and innovative publications whilst heading up, and shaping, the design team.
Ian has also been employed as Art Director/Senior Designer at two of the Gold Coast’s leading brand studios where he continued to hone his skills and grow his passion for graphic design.
